January Surf Camp - 2025

The Under Construction Surf Camp Program

This program is designed for the surfer who wants to:

1. Find a formula to catch better and more waves.
2. Understand the lineup better and how to read the forecasts.
3. Learn surfing technique and understand body movements/equipment.
4. Find a community that learns together.

When:

• Saturdays: Jan 18th, Jan 25th, Feb 1st.
• Estimated Time Window: 7:30 am - 9:30am (Note: Time is subject to change based on conditions. Allow a window of 7am-11am)

Where:

• Preferred location: El Porto (Rosecrans St.) - the most consistent wave in Los Angeles which also holds a ton of variety over the course of the year.
• Location is subject to change based on conditions. Location window is from 1st Point Malibu to Torrance Beach. A text/email will be sent the week of if there are any changes to the location.
• The best location for wave quantity and opportunity to turn will be chosen the week of and the group will be notified via the WhatsApp Chat.

What You'll Experience:

Increased Wave Count

• Learn how to read the lineup and how to create a plan for your sessions.
• Hands-on application in real surfing conditions by using tools we all have access to such as Surfline. Ie: Learn how to surf a "standard beach break" where most of us surf every day.
• Think: "Increased wave = Increased awareness of quality waves."

Surfing Technique

• If we can increase wave knowledge, we can use quality waves as our canvas for technique.
• Detailed info per person to increase better technique of paddling, bottom turns, top turns, carves, airs, etc.
• Personalized feedback on turning and maneuvering techniques based on the footage that is filmed.
• Your surfing will be filmed. Your footage will be sent to you the week following each session.

Surfboard Design & Equipment Conversations 

• Q&A on board design.
• Fins and what you should be riding based on your level.

Community

• A big goal for this club and program is to create comradery, accountability and community between the individuals.
• You will be included into our "What's App group chat."

• 10% off (1) custom surfboard per person. *Limited to (1) per year.

Bonus (ONLY for those that purchase 3 sessions)

•  Included is (1) 30 minute zoom call to go over footage and questions.

Who:

• Surfers in the adult age range (18+).
• Surfers who can confidently paddle out and catch waves themselves.
• Surfers that are looking to increase their ability in high performance surfing. Ie: Airs, blowtails, etc.
• Limited spaces available - 10 people per session.

Investment:

• Course Fee: $600
• Option to pay $225 per session.
• Purchasing of 3 sessions solidifies you in the January Surf Camp - 2025.
